CD Tray won't slide!

  1. Here's the dilema. I'm installing a brand new DVD burner and I wanted to change the color of the faceplate. When I pulled out the front tray plate before I installed it into the computer I think I did something wrong and now it won't let me push it all the way in (it sticks out just a little bit and I can hold it down but it won't stay down). I installed the DVD player to see if it would go in when I tried to open it but it's stuck =( What should I do to make it unstuck? Right now it's open and it's going back and forth like 1/2 inch. And when I try to force it closed it makes a clicking noise. And I can't open it using the open button on the front. HELP!!!

Sounds like part of the faceplay is catching the tray, although its ugly, try removing the faceplate and see if your drive will operate normally without it.
