recently updated my sytem with a winfast k7s 741mg series motherboard and a gig of ddr ram, however after reinstalling windows it won't read the cd with all the drivers on it that came with the motherboard, it reads every other cd i put in and i tested the cd on my other computer and it worked fine, my cd rw drive is a btc model: bce 48716Im, any suggestions?

That's just plain wierd. Have you fed your computer today? Sounds grumpy.

Have you tried going into the CD via windows explorer?

yup nothing comes up as a blank cd

And other data CDs work in that drive? You can see them in explorer?

yeah everything else works fine, installed software for cd rw and installed software for my modem, but the disk that came with the motherboard just keeps comming up blank :(, when i put the cd in nothing happens and if i use explorer it says "please insert a disk into drive D" lmao.

You could try hooking up the CD drive from the other computer you used to test the CD and try it then
