    HI,
    I DO NOT SEE ANY ICON FOR THE CDROM DRIVE IN MY COMPUTER. CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE.
    I AM USING WINDOWS XP HOME. I HAVE A DELL INSPIRON SYSTEM.

    Go to your device manger and see if it is actually installed properly. Make sure there are no yellow exlamation marks by it. If this is the case double check and make sure the cables are pushed in tightly and everything is secure in your machine.

    Check the cables (power as well) as poert said, also check to make sure the jumper is in the correct position. Does the drive show up in your BIOS?
