Meanwhile the iPad mini 3 with cellular capabilities will be available in the country for a suggested retail price of 3,788 RMB ($614) for the 16GB model, 4,488 RMB ($727) for the 64GB model, and 5,188 RMB ($840) for the 128GB model. Wi-Fi only models are priced at 2,888  RMB ($468), 3,588 RMB ($581), and 4,288 RMB ($694), respectively.

In addition, the company is also offering silver or space gray models of the iPad Air, iPad mini 2, and iPad mini, at more affordable prices.

The launch comes nearly a couple of weeks after an IDC report said that 2014 will represent the first full year of decline in iPad shipments, with the Cupertino-based company expected to ship just 64.9 million units, which is 12.7 percent fewer than last year.
