Changing Cases - Data intact?

Hello all. If any of you read the thread I previously posted, you'll know that my primary hard drive went bad. I bought a new one and wanted to upgrade my case as well. When the new case comes in I will be transferring all my hardware over. Is there anything I have to avoid doing that would comprimise the data on the two still-working hard drives? And also, is there anything I should avoid doing, period? I was not using the RAID feature previously, if I begin using it when everything is installed in the new case will the hard drives' data be effected? Thank you.

if you convert a disk to one of a raid array, it will lose it's information. i rccomend you hook up only the drive you plan to install your OS to whilst reinstalling it, then hook up the remaining drives to the appropriate controllers.
