chipsbank flash usb lost its memory

  1. My husband has a chipsbank flash usb and when he was moving it from computer to computer, a file showed up. He deleted all the files from the flash. When it is plugged into the computer, the computer asks if we want to format it. I clicked yes and then the computer says, "windows can not format the drive".

what is missing to make this flash not work? It's a 64mb but windows says it's only 8.

what can I do to fix this problem?
I have been searching for a file or something to get it working but no luck.

I had tried all that was listed on that topic. Still a no go.

XP will acknowledge the drive, but not format it. It will not allow me to access the flash when I click it on. Even the system with 2000 wont read it.
