Hi,
the samsung HDD-Util (HUTIL) has found two LBA adresses defective in the surface test.
Is there any possibility to exclude the defective areas in the FAT (ok, with some small data loss of course) to reestablish a logic, error free FAT-Structure on the NTFS Disk??
The Background:
The drive works and boots (XP) but when starting a BACKUP (thats life) with True Image I get a bluescreen error at a certain point and Chkdsk hangs after step 3.
So I'm searching for a solution like described above: Accept some data losing to make it possible for the Image Software to work....
Any hints ?
TIA,
-daniel
