Choosing Between Geforce Cards (Ram or Higher Model)

Say You have a choice from two cards
a Geforce 6600 with 256mb Ram
and a Geforce 6600GT with 128mb Ram
Which one would be better to buy?

Also would either one of the two, be a good purchase for gaming upto a years time or so.
Not looking for something high as price is a factor.

I want something that when i purchase a new game in a years time, I will be able to run it, even if on low settings, it should be able to run a normal resolution of 800x600 or 1024x768 being smooth.

Well, I think anyone who answers can only be guessing, but mine is that yes. You would be able to run the games in a year with a 6600GT if you drop everything to the lowest settings. Just a wild guess mind you.... who knows what kind of technology is going to be required to run next years games. Things progress so quickly.

For gaming, a 6600GT (even with only 128mb) is a better choice over a 6600 (with 256mb).
