choosing which xp to boot into...by default..

I have two instances of win xp pro. What I want to know is, how do I make one or the other , the default os at bootup?. ...I've done it before sometime ago, following instructions from a mag (pc answers) but have forgotten how to ,and can't find the article again !! :giddy: ....Also, I want to identify each xp....ie, xp1, xp 2 or whatever,....how can I do that.....oh, and.....how to change the default 'waiting to boot' time from 25 secs, to somehing else? :stickout: :giddy:

This is quite easy, for those who find this thread in the future.

Right-click My Computer-choose Properties.
Go to "Advanced" tab
Click "Settings" button in the "Start and Recovery" section.
The bootup values are in this window. You can change the timer settings as well. Click "Edit" to change the boot.ini file itself. Including changing the "name" of the OS in the boot menu to whatever you want. Or deleting an entry you don't need.
