CiD pop ups

Hi to everyone.

Can anyone help me get rid of the annoying CiD pop ups.
I have up to date McAfee & Spyware doctor, but they dont seem to be able to get rid.
Just signed up with Talk Talk for a broadband service last week, and funnily enough I picked up these pop ups on the first day of connection.
I hope someone can help-its driving me nuts!

Try this it may not work or it may do give it a go,Go Start>Control Panel>add and remove prorams.
Then you look for <cid help> and remove it.
if not go start>run>msconfig> Startup - Remove any thing you dont like the look of...

Very Important: Before deciding whether you should clean or reformat your system, go and read this thread HERE and decide what it is you want to do.

If after reading the above, you wish to clean your system, do the following.

Go and read the Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly.

Post fresh HJT, AVG Antispyware and Combofix logs as attachments into this thread, only after doing the above.

Also, let me know the results of the AVG Antirootkit scan.

I have tried the add & remove programs, but nothing remotely like CiD appears in the list.
I'll try the other way .
