Civilization 4 Direct To Drive Failed To Load DLL: DSetup

I bought and downloaded Civilization 4 from Direct 2 Drive and when I go to install it the error message "Failed To Load DLL: DSetup" comes up. WTF do I do?

This is happening to me also!

I've tried a couple of things - downloaded directx redistributable packages from MS and put the dsetup.dll with the installer, and it goes to the install screen telling me that it sees that I need to install DirectX, "press next to begin". When I press next a box pops up saying "are you sure you want to quit setup" and repeats when you press no.

I've also extracted the install files from the original file. I'm not sure, but there might be some corrupt files inside data2.cab. I'm going to borrow a friend's civ4 dvd and see if I can replace some of the install files and mess around with it. Anyone else have any suggestions? D2D is not responding to my emails and I WILL dispute the charges if they don't respond to me soon.

D2D just responded to me and they have fixed the files, you have to redownload the game

Yep, and it's already working. Took them long enough, but i appreciate that they're trying.
