OK. Here's the thing: I recently bought this.
I have installed Windows XP MCE over the OEM based vista home premium installation.
Ever since I have done that I was told by gateway tech support that my warranty has been voided doing this. Vista is not so great, most of the programs I used to use are either not working at all or they need some kind of annoying configuration. This is what SIW tells me about my sound:
PCI-X Hi-Definition Audio Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio
Please, I know somebody here knows how to get my sound going...any and all help is welcome.
