I have seen various thread already posted in the forum and my problem is similar. When I click on the search results, it takes me to unwanted sites and at times I have to kill the browser.
Problem is consistent with all the searches (Google, Yahoo, Bing) I have tried on IE and Firefox. Google chrome behaves differently, sometimes it crashes and sometimes it works as expected i.e. takes me to intended page.
Steps taken so far aprt from regular Antivirus scans (CA Internet Security Suite)
1. Windows Defender
2. Windows Malicious software removal tool
3. Reset Modem and flushdns
4. Followed all the steps as suggested in https://www.techspot.com/community/topics/updated-4-step-viruses-spyware-malware-removal-preliminary-instructions.58138/. Actually, I did CCleaner and MalwareBytes steps twice. MalwareBytes did find few unwanted items. The logs are attached.
I don't recall installing File Sharing or P2P programs in past. I didn't go for Combofix based on https://www.techspot.com/vb/topic138086.html.
