one problem with that.... im using a neighbors internet connection. i do not have access to their router, although it would make sense if there router is infected, because all of my roommates computers are infected with the same virus. what else am i able to do?

Hmm....I'm not sure what to tell you, since you're stealing someone's internet connection.
I don't think, I'll be able to help you here until you establish your own, paid for connection.

perhaps your right, i did ask to piggyback on his connection until i pay off my charter bill my roommate skipped out on. he allows all of us to use his connection until we pay off our bill. we are not stealing the connection, we give him $10 a month. only prob with that is, he works all of the time, and the times im at home, he is not, that is why i do not have access to his router.

Well, you're still stealing. You're stealing money from ISP company by not paying for a connection you use.

your right. i still commend you for all of your help. and if you see fit, i would be very grateful for more help. but if not i totally understand. i once took the same stand as you, but i require a internet connection for work, and thats why i talked to my neighbor to see if i could piggy back.

You're welcome :)
At this point, all I can tell you is, that your computer appears to be clean and I see infected router as the source of your problems.
I'll close this topic now.
Please, feel free to PM me with a request to reopen the topic, as soon, as you acquire legal internet connection.
Good luck :)
