Run HJT with no other programmes open. Click the scan button. Have HJT fix the following, by placing a tick in the little box next to(if there).

    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page =
    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar =

Only fix the above 017 entries, if they don`t belong to your ISP.

Click on the fix checked button.

    Close HJT.

Reboot your computer and let me know how your system is running.

    Regards Howard :)

Try typing cmd.exe and see if that helps.

    Well a few questions:

    Has it ever worked?

If it has worked before, when was the last time it worked?

Did you recently install any hardware or software?

What is the reason you are trying to run the command prompt?

    I found this article: http://www.pubforum.net/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=1;action=display;num=1088046057

Sometimes it helps to Google search when you have an issue. I just typed in "cmd not a valid win32 application" in a Google search window and that article came up.
