    Cmos checksum error, help plz

    howdy

    this is the first time i got CMOS Checksum error msg when I started my pc. How do i fix this problem? I noticed every change i made in the BIOS setting got reset to default when i shut down and boot up my pc.

    well for me i just got this message one time and then everything worked fine, had to change my BIOS settings to what i had before though :p

    Try replacing the CMOS battery. If it's dead, it won't hold any CMOS settings and will return to default settings just as if you removed the battery to do so on purpose.
