  1. So i just did a fresh reinstall of XP and was wondering what is the best codec pack out there. Ive used ffdshow in the past without much trouble but ive heard good things about klite and i used to use community codec pack in the distant past. so just wanted to know what you guys use and i have heard its best to install each codec seperately but that sounds like more work than i want to put in

Klite is very good:) I would also say its probably the best.

However. if you are just need these codecs to play movies, i would say go and download a copy of VLC mediaplayer, No messy codecs everywhere and it will play anything you throw at it!

    And its totaly free.

    Good luck.
