Com. says hard drive has failed

    i have a almost year old computer. i have a 80 gb hard drive and this morning i downloaded ares and downloaded some music(ya i know stupid.) well later today i was talking to my friends on aim and the computer just froze so i just restarted it and the computer came up as if saying it needed to boot off a cd. so i used my windows xp cd and put that in and that just ended up saying the hard drive had failed or something very similar to that so i used my rescue disks and it says the boot has failed so i have no clue what to do. i really need some help here. thanxs.

    my brother says he can do a system restore but he wont be home till monday. so any of u guys could tell me how to that would be great!!! thanxs
