Hello
I have a strange problem on a Vista laptop. Messages over 1MB cannot be sent. I checked on the SMTP server and it seems the Vista machine stops sending the message after the initial contact with the server, and the server times out. Messages smaller than that go jsut fine.
Well, the laptop has AVG Internet Security installed and apparently it´s virus free. But to make sure it was not a malware problem, I downloaded a fresh copy of Combofix on another PC and copied it to the laptop. When I tryiewd to run it, it gave this:
"the contents of the combofix package has been compromised ...." and combofix deletes itself.
I downloaded tools from symantec and AVG to remove virut , ran both and no infection found.
I used msconfig to select diagnostic startup but the problem persisted.
I am lost at this point and before taking some drastic measures, I seek your help.
I ran DDS.SCR and attached is the output.
will someone help me here ?
Thanks
Julio
