Compaq CM 350 Monitor

My Compaq CM 350 Flat panel Monitor just went dark, You can still see some of the image however it is very dark and adjusting the brightness dose nothing.

Usually, this is a video graphics card problem.
Shut down. Then cold boot to SAFE MODE by pressing the <F8> key once per second as soon as you press the on switch.
Then you will often find that you get a bright screen if it is a bad video graphics port or card. If it is dark still, put the monitor on a friend's computer to see if it is still dark.
If it is, it needs an inverter which costs $50 to $75 in a repair shop, plus labor. You are better off buying a new monitor from Samsung, Sharp, or LG.
