Compaq Presario Power Switch Pin Out

Hey all,

I have a Compaq Presario 7RPM11...1.3GHz P4 with 128MB RAMBUS. I rewired the power switch header when replacing the motherboard with another brand (thinking I would never use it again) and forgot to write down the original pinout.

Does anyone know the pinout of the power switch connector on the motherboard. It's labeled J981 and the cable has 189524-001 on the label.

I found someone on this message board who had the same PC and gave me the answer. I'll post it here in case anyone else can use it.

Hi, i'll give to you the position of every cable on the j981:

black cable pin 3
yellow cable pin 4
white cable pin 5
red cable pin 6
green cable pin 12
orange cable pin 15
blue cable pin 16

Hey, OU812, I have extra 256 MB of RAMBUS for that motherboard if you're interested. I have the same board and just upgraded the RAM.
