Compatible Printer for Laptop?

Hello everyone, I recieved a new Dell Laptop for Christmas.
I need to buy an inexpensive decent printer for it that will print photo's and make copies.
Does anyone have an opininion as to what type I should buy? Thanking you in advance. Hope everyone had a great Christmas.

Kodak has an ad for the "kodak esp 5" which brags on low TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), ie; cheaper inks
This is an All-in-One printer + Copier device and if I had NOT already purchased the
Canon mp470 (pixma fine) which I love, I would go with the Kodak
