    If you are willing to take a chance on a refurb, this is a good deal. I have noted here that these serve as a great basis for upgrading.

    Our 1001 that I posted abt is running awesome with 2GB RAM, SSD, and Win 7 home 64bit (not 'starter').

    There is a lot of info on web abt opening this up to replace HDD. I jacked up the keyboard out of foolishness, but was able to repalce for abt $30 - this gave me the chance to make the keyboard feel more firm by laying a layer of aluminum foil between keyboard and the metal undersurface it rests on.
