Hey all,
My computer has been running pretty slow recently. Have done spyware and virus scans and nothing has come up.
I've attached a hijack this log.
Would appreciate if anyone could take a quick look and tell me if anything is fishy there.

Thank you very much.

Two things to check:
1. What do you have on Startup? You only need the antivirus AVG, firewall Comodo, touchpad if laptop and network process is on network- I think AVG has the spyware on startup also but nothing else. This is a frequent cause of 'slow computer' as everything that starts up runs in the background.

2. Confirm you have all these connections going:
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{2D6872CB-A8B1-4021-99F3-29F3D24B3833}: NameServer = 207.164.234.193 207.164.234.129
O17 - HKLM\System\CS3\Services\Tcpip\..\{2D6872CB-A8B1-4021-99F3-29F3D24B3833}: NameServer = 207.164.234.193 207.164.234.129
O17 - HKLM\System\CS4\Services\Tcpip\..\{2D6872CB-A8B1-4021-99F3-29F3D24B3833}: NameServer = 207.164.234.193 207.164.234.129

The IP 207.164.234.193 is Bell Canada BELLGLOBAL
The IP 207.164.234.129 is Sympatico File Storage & Sharing

From Bleeping computer, here is a description of the 017 entries:
O17 Section
This section corresponds to Lop.com Domain Hacks.
When you go to a web site using an hostname, like www.bleepingcomputer.com, instead of an IP address, your computer uses a DNS server to resolve the hostname into an IP address like 192.168.1.0. Domain hacks are when the Hijacker changes the DNS servers on your machine to point to their own server, where they can direct you to any site they want. By adding google.com to their DNS server, they can make it so that when you go to www.google.com, they redirect you to a site of their choice.
Example Listing 017 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\VxD\MSTCP: NameServer = 69.57.146.14,69.57.147.175

If you see entries for this and do not recognize the domain as belonging to your ISP or company, and the DNS servers do not belong to your ISP or company, then you should have HijackThis fix it. You can go to Arin to do a whois a on the DNS server IP addresses to determine what company they belong to.
I recommend you also run SupreAntispyware. Chances are high you have an assortment of Tracking Cookies;(games)

Hey Bobbye,

Thank you for the response.

I think i understand what you're saying about the 017 entries but not completely.
My internet provider is Bell Sympatico...so how exactly do i check if those 017 entries are good/ or that I have these connections going.

Thanks a lot
