Computer continually restarting

My computer keeps restarting, like in a loop and it seems to happen after a certain time or when i put stress on system resources like playing games, i also keep getting the BSOD and tried reinstalling Windows XP and deleting my old partition but it hasn't seemed to help, my system information is as follows

Direct x version: 9.0C
Processor: Mobile AMD Athlon(tm) MP-M 1700t, MMX 3D Now, ~1.5GHz
BIOS: version 07.00T
Memory: 224MB RAM

I recommend that you check out "Guides & Solved Issues", and this is a starting point.

I assume your computer is a notebook.

Bad memory is high on my suspect list. The starting point noted above is from the desktop perspective. However, it contains links for memtest86; it makes suggestions for collecting minidumps when the BSOD occurs; and it asks you consider what changes have been made recently (new apps, drivers, hardware, etc.).
