Every time, right when i start my computer to log on, my mouse will work fine, so i click my username, but right when i start typing, the computer freezes. I have checked the plugs, went into safe mode, and did system restore but it still does it. (this is on a diff comp)
Does anyone know whats happeneing? Its a windows xp home edition

Bad memory, bad powersupply or bad driver could cause this problem. If you have more than one stick of memory in the pc take one out and see if it helps. If it dont take the other one out and replace it with the first one u took out and see if that helps. Will it start up in safemode ?

Please give us your system specs.

I am currently having the exact same problem. It doesn't happen everytime, but it happens a lot for me. I am eliminating possible causes one thing at a time, but haven't found the cause yet.

By the way, when you say "right when I start typing", are you entering a password to log into windows? Or do you get as far as being able to open some software?
