Hi,

Im Looking for some help, i have a 1 year old

P4 3.01Ghz PC with
120GB Hdd, a Radeon 256MB X800 Graphics card, and 1GB of RAM

The problem is the last few months the computer has been freezing during gameplay and general use for 5-10 seconds every 5-20 mins where everything remains as it was but i cant do anything for those few seconds.

At frist it didnt really care but it never stops and i cant deal with it anymore!
im pretty sure its not the Graphics card as it has been upgraded from a 64MB card and the fans & heatsink have also been replaced

I had hoped when i changed the G.Card and Fans that it would help but there is absolutely no difference whatsoever!

Please help!!!

Power Unit

I dont know wat type of power unit or anything, but i replaced it at the same time as the fans, the computer still froze before i had replaced it

Clearly Described

What Do u mean problem not indicated correctly?

It keeps freezing for 5 - 10 seconds
this happens on average every 7 or 8 minutes

Just like i said earlier

Im posting on here so i dont have to get it serviced!

I'm asking about the power supply, PSU, 256mb cards tend to need a lot more power. The only way to know what the PSU is to take side panel off.
Is this the same install of windows before and after?
What MoBo do you have?
I'd recommend updating all drivers:
MoBo (motherboard)agp, chipset etc.
video
sound
windows

or did you buy the computer off from some company (for instance dell?)?

Please put the company you brought from and the service tag/ part number here too
