Computer no longer works with 800x600

Hi all, Ive been using my computer in 1024x768 screen resolution for the past couple of weeks and now i would like to set it back to 800x600. But heres the problem. Every time i try to set it to that my screen just says "frequency out of range". Ive tried switching to different refresh rates for it but it still does not work. Only resolutions of 1024x768 or higher work. It used to work fine in 800x600. Whats with this thing? Why am i not able to use the resolution that every computer and monitor can support anymore?

P.S. My video card is a Nvidia Vanta LT AGP

Try updating the video cards drivers

I would, but these drivers are already the latest for this video card, Forceware 66.81 2004

Did you upgrade drivers before this happened? If so, revert to an older set

1024 x 768 is a better setting for todays software and the Internet.
Why go back in time to 800 x 600 ?
I use ATI so can only suggest you check your monitor capabilities.
It should list your screen sizes and others settings
Right click the desktop,select Propertys.settings/Advanced/Adapter/Monitor.
Under monitor select Hide modes that can't be displayed.
then go back and use the size slider.Should ask to restart.


Decide,if yes do a restart.
