Ok guys..my friends new PC has the following setup:

    MSI K7N2 Delta MB
    512MB KIngston hyperX PC3200 RAM
    WD- 40 gb HD
    Radeon 8500 Pro
    AMD XP 2600

    Now here is the scenario:

We set the HyperX RAM to run at 400MHz, and tried all sorts of timings ( even the ones Kingston says to run) and he gets to windows just fine, everything looks great. We start doing some stuff on it....say PCmark 2002 and 3D mark 2003 - it comes up with a BSOD slightly quick and reboots..not letting us see the Blue screen of death...so this is when i figured RAM?

Tried setting factory defaults, etc...still reboots. hmmm...So we try some older RAM - 266Mhz RAM....its runs ALOT longer..but in turn just rebooting again...not ram?

At this point im not sure what it could be....MotherBoard maybe? but everything else works...bad RAM slots? Tried them all...

    Any help would be great!

    Thanks guys.

    Matt

Well we figured it out...it was his processor. AMD 2600+...runs stable @ 2400+ and lower...but not 2600...sigh...RMA here we come.

Thanks for the update. It is nice to see if your first hunch resolves it...
