Computer Restarts Without Warning

  1. Hi,
    my system restarts irritatingly without any warning. Could u plz help me out?

    Have reinstalled windows & got a new power supply... the prob just doesn't go away..

    This is what i get after the computer restarts:

    Windows has recovered from a serious error:

    error signature

    the following files will be included in the error report

    MY SPECIFICATIONS:

    Windows XP SP2,

    AMD Athlon 64bit processor 2800+ 1.81 GHz
    Asus K8NF4G motherboard
    448 MB Ram (doesn't detect 512 MB)

    2 years of exhaustive usage

    try to do harddrive and memory test.....
    you got 448mb because your on-board video is 64mb shared memory
    448+64=512 :p

    yeah.
    it just also happen to my cousin' desktop which is 4years old...

    try to do a memory test (RAM) from a cd and if the result null, do a harddrive detect. nevertheless, overheating could be also one of the possible answer.
