Is this a trick question......I think since you built it, it'll have whatever model and serial number you want to give it.

    Hi

Model and serial number of the PC ? It wont have one, its not a model, you built it yourself, same for serial number.

However your motherboard, sound card and other items will have model numbers and serial numbers, and are usually printed on the item somewhere.

    Regards

I would keep the packaging or note the model and serial number of each component for future reference (manufacture warranty, drivers, and information for other things).

Use the numbers on the motherboard... possibly add the CPU and HDD SN.

Why do you need to know the serial number anyway? Did somebody ask you or what?

your model number is the make of the motherboard.
The serial # is printed on the motherboard itself usally around the edges. Some makers use a sticker, but most print it on the board or both.
