Computer shuts off now

  1. I just ordered this 3800+ x2 and now my computer keeps shutting off. No error messages or anything. I went back to xp and I didnt install anything special...there are no error logs too which make me think it's a hardware problem. It is either CPU, PSU, or motherboard. I am leaning towards CPU because I just got it and this started happening, but I don't know...any advice?

edit: It powers down, I should say. It isn't restarting or anything. I am immediately able to power the PC back on afterwards. The frequency of this happening is rising as well..

Honestly by just looking at the title on the thread I knew it was a cpu temp problem. I'm sure most people in this board would of said the same thing, most mobos have an auto shut off feature if the processor gets to hot. Great feature to have and a must! If it wasn't for that you would of probably fired your processor! As well as many others.

No the temperature was around 39-44C constantly. I am talking about a program called 'Core Temp'
