    Hi there

How do I see my computer specs in the GUI.

    Which GUI?
GNOME? KDE? Aqua? Xfce? LiteSTEP? OpenWindows? CDE?
    Or, which operating system?
Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, Mac OS, QNX, BeOS?

Hum.. Is it GUI or the terminal then? Can you install any additional tools or do you have to make do with what is the default?

Having a look at the dmesg output is the most foolproof way of course. Either look at /var/log/dmesg or run "dmesg | less"
