Computer suddenly wont post

  1. I started building this new computer and everything was going smoothly. I installed windows xp, then installed all the drivers. After completing the installing of Norton, I restarted my computer and it just froze at the post screen. After waiting for awhile, I shut it off. When I tried powering it back up, it just makes the one beep sound like usual, brings up my logo screen and sits there. I've tried removing as many components, and tried different sticks of ram. I 'm wondering if it could be the cpu or the mobo that could be the problem.
