Hello, I am new at this, I have been working on computers for sometime, I know as a computer technician, I should know this answere, but we are talking about a computer here. I have taken apart a clients computer, and asembled it back together. The tower turns on, and the motherboard and everything el;se including the fan turns on, all beeps sound away and light turn on, this is WHERE THE PROBLEM STARTS, THE TOWER IS RUNNING, BUT MY MONITOR LIGHT DISPLAYS RED, HERE'S THE CATCH, I PLUG IN MY OTHER RUNNING COMPUTER AND EVERYHTING WORKS FINE, HERE'S THE QUESTION, COULD IT BE THE POWER SUPPLIES? I THINK IT IS, IF NOT PLEASE LET ME KNOW SOMEONE!

    Hello and welcome to Techspot.

What prompted you to disassemble the computer in the first place? Was the monitor receiving a signal before the computer was taken apart?

Providing everything has been reassembled correctly, I.E no short circuits between the mobo and case etc. I`d say either the mobo or psu is the problem.

    Regards Howard

look to see if you remembered to plug the 4 pin power adapter back into the MOBO or the Graphics card, if it has one.
