computer wont boot up

Hope someone knows how to fix this. After turning my computer on, the BIOS set up comes on and says there is an error in the CPU external frequency. I have not changed anything to the system. If I restore defalts, the computer will not boot up from here. The monitor shuts down, but the cpu fan and the computer are still running.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Two things you can do...

1. Find where the jumper is for the CMOS (MoBO manual would tell you)
2. Find the watch type battery on the MOBO and remove it
3. Unplug the PC completely and wait 30 minutes
4. Add the battery back on the MOBO
5. If you found the jumper you should place it back correctly
6. Plug-in PC
7. You'll have to go into the BIOS to change the time and date or anything that needs to be updated.
