Computer wouldn't post, and now won't turn on at all

My computer didn't post, so I checked to see if the RAM was seated and then checked to see if the processor was seated also. Both were, so I closed it and pressed the power button and now it really won't post. It will turn on for 3 seconds and then shuts off.

Any suggestions on what I should do?

Do you get anything on the screen? Generally when it doesn't POST it will kick in and then just idle until you turn it off.

no, no signal. At first it was doing that, but now it will just start and everything will turn on, like all the fans, etc. but then it will turn off three seconds later.

Do you have any PCI cards on the motherboard?

General rule is to try just having what you need plugged into the motherboard and no other peripherals.

Is it possible to try with another PSU?
