Confused by Marketing........

  1. My confusion is about Barebones "kits." I think the kits are the mobo and processor with; maybe, RAM or a case. Please correct me
    if I'm wrong.

I've seen Porta Tech.com and New Egg already. I know which CPU to buy
and I'll get a mobo that works with it; hopefully, I'll buy together.
If I need DDR 2 RAM, I'll get it.

Are these "kits" the mobo, CPU, case, and RAM?
Or should I just pick up a mobo/CPU combo at
my local retailer? If they don't come with a case, I have a good one already.

    thanks,

Barebones= Case, power supply and motherboard. No memory, CPU, hard drives or anything else

    Thanks

I'll get the mobo/CPU combo. I have case, RAM, and PSU already.
