I have a new client and when the log in, they log into domain ABC (for example). However when I look at the DNS entry, I see the server defined (SERVER01), and in the Forward Lookup Zones folder, all I see is ABCDEF.loc and a few others. But I don't see an ABC entry anywhere? Is there another location I should be looking for this infomation?
This is what is more confusing and too me quite messed up. When I look at the computer name of each computer in the organization, the computers belong to domain ABCDEF.loc. Isn't that wierd how the users log into ABC, but the compuers belong to ABCDEF.loc?
Any tips or advice (besides run away now and fast) would be greatly appreciated. thank you
