Confusion about VLC Player

  1. I've noticed in my Programs & Features there are two "different" versions of VLC player
    VLC Player.JPG
    Is that normal or not? The program works fine, I just don't know if both are needed. Thanks.:)

    All its means is you have to different version installed. You should be able to uninstall the older version. With no problems. That's if you prefer the newer version.

    I think I did that a while back & when I reinstalled it, it came back. I'll try that again to see if it works, thanks.

    Ok, I clicked on the older one, got a pop up saying it had been removed & asked me if I wanted to remove the older version from programes & Features & so I did. Thanks.

    It's just a shortcut from the previuos version, it may have been there if you install a new version of VLC media player recently!
