Connect two wireless routers together, wirelessly

  1. I have one wireless router connected to the internet. I would like to use another one to connect to it on a portable piece of equipment. I would like to be able to access the network and internet on the first router from the second router.

How do I configure the second router to wirelessly connect to the first router and allow access to the internet and the other network?

The second router has to support "range extender" mode (or whatever it may be called by the manufacturer) (most routers don't). You may have better luck with an access point - these dedicated devices usually have more wireless-specific features.
