Connection Limitation Problem?

I recently went out of town with my laptop. I was staying in a hotel where you had to pay to access the internet. I was there for about two weeks. The connection there was pretty good, but not nearly as fast as my connection to my router in my apartment.
I came back home and now my connection is really low. Prior to going to the hotel I was getting about 160Mbps, now I am steadily getting between 1 and 11Mbps. I am not sure how this happened or how to fix this problem.

Test your connection with Internet Frog.
That 160 mbps connection is questionable in a hotel.
you may have to reinstall stuff... or you picked up malware. Then have your IP tech look down the system into your computer.
Run some scans such as Norton free, Spyware Doctor free, Adaware 2.0.0.7, and then run Windows Defender.

Have your IP test your connection.
Or put a paperclick in the cable modem and then reinstall it ... That is, if your drive is clean of malware you picked up at the hotel.

The hotel was wireless and home is too?

Delete the connections (ALL) and recreate the home conenction.
Your settings were fouled at the hotel -- a common issue when traveling.
