Solved Control Panel Missing

am using XP in my pc..today i noticed that in the start menu control panel is missing. when i tried it through run system shows the message that 'due to some restriction this action cancelled. contact system admin'...

what to do ?
 
Welcome to TechSpot! I am not entirely sure what is missing> is it the All Programs list or is it the Control Panel?

Are you the Administrator on the system? If not, could restrictions have been placed by the Administrator?

acutally i found a similar thread in this forum and follow the instructions.. its worked for me..i tried combofix and my problem cured...

thanks techspot...
