Corrupted Java file

  1. Corrupted Java file will not uninstall or allow update to be installed. iTunes 64-bit 10.6.1 will not install either. Tried earlier 64-bit versions but nothing. When I download the file and try to run it, the executable file opens the new window momentarily and then disappears. The window does not get to open fully, either when it suddenly goes away. Ran antivirus full scan and got a PUP virus that is now quarantined but it still did not do the job. Need help. I'm running a 64-bit ASUS PC with Windows 7 Professional.
