Hi all, this is a quick question. Just wondering if a Corsair 450watt PSU (which has 33amps on the 12v rail) is powerful enough to run my new budget build nicely.

These are the specs:

CPU: AMD Athlon x2 5000+
RAM: 1GB Corsair XMS2
Video Card: GeForce 9800GT
Motherboard: Asus M2N68-AM

So will the Corsair unit be powerful enough for that setup? Or would it be best if i got a more powerful PSU instead? I know Corsair power supplies a very good quality which is why i want one.

I'd go with a 500+ watt power supply, you may cut it close at peak performance.

The pcu is 65 watts draw right rage?

The 450VX will be more than sufficient for your system. You will not draw more than 200-250W fro the +12V rail at peak load.
