  1. I couldn't open my most fav program : (

    I keep getting this message when I tried to open it.

    16 bit windows sub system (title)
    C:/window/system32/autoexec.nt. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

    it's because one of the following files is missing from \WINNT\System32 or \WINDOWS\System32:

    * Config.nt
    * Autoexec.nt

    Check to see that these files are there. If not, expand them from the install CD and copy them to \WINNT\System32 or \WINDOWS\System32.
    They'll be on the CD in the \I386 folder as:

    From a command prompt window, type Expand /? to get instructions for using Expand.

    copy the file autoexec.nt from c:\windows\repair and place it in the c:\window\system32 folder that should do the trick

    Just FYI and future reference, this sort of thread belongs in Windows forum, not in the CPU forum. Glad that you got your problem fixed.
