Counter-Strike 1.6 High ping. Don't understand!!!

Hey... -.-

Im having trouble with my counter strike ping.. And I seriously dont know why.!

Yester day I downloadet something from G-Mail with 7720 kb/s ! OMG !! That's pretty awesome. But useually its about 400-1000 kb/s . ( I leave in a apartment complex, so it depends on how many using the net.)

But.. For a year ago, my ping were about 16-30, now it over 100 !

Can you guys tell me what to do ?

I have heard something about cl_rate and stuff like that, please help

The ping doesn`t depend on you, or your connection. You have a GREAT connection.
It depends on the server you`re connecting to. Your very fast connection can do nothing if the other server lags.

Try connecting to several servers and find out by yourself.

Well.. Hm.. Not really... Some times..

But it just kind of "pisses me off" that I have a great connection, and I have spent a looong time looking for help about wether its my connection my settings or what ever it is, and then there are my friends who havent done anything, and they have a ping about 20 ... irritating!!

do you have any backgrond apps runnig?

that can be a cuse of high ping

also do a virus check and run some anti adware programs
