CPU at 100% BFV game lag

New to forums. I have pc game battlefield vietnam,EA info says i have more than adequate system,my GeForce FX5200 display is at full acceleration,when set at less than half BFV game will not load,at full acceleration the game is unplayable when there are more than 8-10 players online,also happens in singleplayer.My cpu goes to 100% when playing and page file use is 150MB or above,game sound and movement,shooting etc.,still going but image hangs or is choppy or just plain freezes ,then i have to shut down w/power button and power on again. Any help out there???? Thanks in advance.

disable a setting called "light maps" or "shadows" or something of that flavor in the game's graphics options menu. what are your machine's specs?

Disable v-sync on the card also the fx5200 not a real power house of a card..Do you have all the latest drivers installed for your card as well as the latestest motherboard chipset drivers?
