I have been looking online for a good cpu benchmark software program, and found a lot of them. Does anyone know any software that is popular with this kind of benchmarking besides 3DMark05?

What do you want to benchmark for? I believe that the only credible CPU benchmark(s) is/are the one(s) offered by SPEC.

I've always liked SiSoft's Sandra 2005. It has a number of CPU benchmarks as well as CPU, cache, artithmetic, Multimedia and memory/bandwidth access tests. Has a nice comparison set of graphs too.
