CPU Fan is not connected HELP!!!!

I've just moved house and set my computer up in it's new place and every time i turn it on now it beeps and the screen show 'CPU fan is not connected' the fan is running, but it keeps turning itself off after a couple of seconds, what should i do?

try seeing if it is connected tightly, and if that isn't it, try moving it to a different fan chip.

Maybe there is something wrong with the sensor for CPU fan, if u're sure the fan is spinning well, u can turn off the CPU fan alarm in BIOS (although it's not recommended since u won't know if the CPU fan is working or not).

What kind of motherboard? What processor? Many Intel have a safety feature that shuts down the system if they overheat. Are you sure the fan wires/plug were not damaged in the move? Some more system information would help people help you. Hope it's easy- :monkey:
